Breakfasts
We had breakfast everyday in the Windjammer Cafe which offers a buffet. It is a bit difficult to find what ingredients are in things as apart from a few things labeled 'contains pork', nothing is labelled. If you ask staff, they will find out for you. Most days I ate from the British breakfast section: Toast, baked beans, mushrooms and tomatoes. There was vegan vegetable spread which was surprising and one day there was marmite. There was always fruit and I ate peanut butter bagels on some days too. Soya milk was available on request.
Lunch
Many days we didn't eat on board, but the Windjammer offered vegetable curries, salad, create your own stir fry with plenty of vegetables and noodles, pasta with tomato. There were usually always chips too. There was always an option with lentils, chickpeas or beans.
Dinners
We had a few dinners Windjammer, which had similar offerings to lunch. The main dining room was an interesting experience. Make sure you inform your waiter and head waiter of your needs. Some days I actually could eat off the menu, or a slightly adapted meal. Things are labeled vegetarian or lactose free, but often I found out that some dishes that were not labelled lactose free happened to be vegan. If in doubt, ask the waiter. Other days I planned my following days meal, if no option was readily available. Everyday there was the option of spaghetti and tomato sauce if it was short notice. You could always request double portions or extra vegetables too!

Desserts
This is where it was a little bit tricky as there were not main sweet options other than a fruit plate! But I did manage to get some Indian desserts and rice pudding made with soya milk.

I would recommend bringing some chocolate and sweet treats on board with you for when you have a craving. I some had Nakd bars and I bought some chocolate in Venice. Cocktails helped make me feel better when looking at the massive cake buffet.
Eating Out
I had some great cheese free pizza in Italy. In the UK I find most places think you are crazy to order a pizza without cheese, but I had no strange looks here which was great. I even went on a Royal Caribbean excursion to Pompeii which included lunch in a hotel and they managed to provide a salad and spaghetti and tomato which was much nicer than the one they offered in the main dining room. I spent most of the holiday craving a burger, even resorting to eating tortilla chips in a bun. I went to Gopal in Barcelona and was not disappointed! The burgers are amazing, they have vegan burger sauce on the chips and they have cake and doughnuts too! I also managed to find vegan ice cream in Venice (Not sorbet but actual ice cream!).

I had some great food on this trip and I am a lot less afraid of eating vegan on holiday now! I didn't miss out too much and even put on weight without the gorging on dessert buffets.
